Single Floor, Multi-level Roof!

Deep in the heart of Yanaka, a beautiful old area of Tokyo filled with temples, shrines, small alleyways and old wooden houses is an enormous Himalayan Pine tree.

The tree stands at the tip of a triangular block of houses with a small old sweet shop next door and temples across the road. Quaint and lovely, but the most interesting thing is that this shop’s single room has eight (8) different levels of roof above it!
