The Mystery of Double Staircases
In older parts of Tokyo one often sees cool double staircases. Side by side they lie, completely misaligned and redundant.
To this day their purpose completely eludes me.
They’re obviously a relic of bygone times, but it’s really difficult to imagine what originally existed there to justify such an arrangement.
