Bye Bye! Come Back Soon!

The kindness and consideration of Japanese customer service exemplified:

Leaving Tokyo Narita on a holiday flight, the airport ground staff actually stand in a line on the tarmac and wave goodbye to passengers on departing planes.

Unbelievable. So heartwarming. Evoking a desire to return, before I’d even left.
How can one not love Japan when such things happen?

There was never any doubt in my mind as to the Japanese focus on making the customer happy, but even if there were this incident would have completely eradicated any tiny remaining traces.

And at the other end of my flight, arrival in Australia: sniffer dogs, aggressive customs officials and an overwhelming sense of being treated as nothing but an inconvenience to immigration staff.

Welcome to the rest of the world.
